Juvenile Party

On 02/16/2013 at approximately 2322 hrs. the Hodgeman County Sheriff’s Office responded to a noise complaint at a reported loud party in the 300 block of South Logan Street in Hanston.  Sheriff Ron Ridley advised that on arrival the responding deputy announced his presence and determined that a number of the individuals at the party were underage.  With law enforcement on the scene a number of subjects fled the scene on foot to avoid apprehension.  Additional officers responded to assist and found indicators of other possible criminal activity at the scene which prompted the acquisition of search warrants for the structure and several vehicles.  Evidence recovered during the subsequent searches included both cereal malt beverages and alcoholic liquors, as well as marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Taken into custody and booked into the Hodgeman County Jail were Tanner Weinhold, 18, of Spearville, Eric Hernandez, 19, of Dodge City, Cale Woydziak, 18, of Dodge City, Blake Loder, 18 of Spearville, William Fierro, 18, of Jetmore, Kolby Ricke, 18, of Wright, and Brandon Blankman, 18, of Dodge City.  Also taken into custody at the scene was a 14-year-old juvenile female who was later released to her parents.  A number of other individuals fled the scene and arrest warrants will be obtained for their arrest as soon as practical.

The investigation continues to evolve at press time and Sheriff Ridley advised that the subjects present at the party will face a variety of charges depending on their level of involvement, to include: possession or consumption of alcohol by a person under 21, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, interference with a law enforcement officer and social hosting.
