On Monday 01/30/2012 the Hodgeman County Sheriff’s Office served a drug search warrant in the 30000 block of NE S Road in rural Hodgeman County, with the assistance of other member agencies from the Southwest Kansas Drug Task Force.
Sheriff Ron Ridley advised that the warrant was executed following an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and that Barbara J. Gibbs, age 50, of rural Jetmore was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gibbs is currently being held in the Ford County Jail on $25,000 bond. Sheriff Ridley would not comment on whether other arrests were pending, but did state the investigation is on-going at this time.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the canine unit from the Gray County Sheriff’s Office and Special Agents from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation in this case. Hodgeman County is an active partner in the Southwest Kansas Drug Task Force which is comprised of over 25 law enforcement agencies in a 19 county area of Southwest Kansas.
