Arrests made in Business Burglaries

Sheriff Ron Ridley reports that the Hodgeman County Sheriff's Office participated in a multi-jurisdiction operation on June 28th to serve search warrants on two residences in Barton County and recovered property stolen in the business burglaries over the weekend of June 24-25.
Sheriff Ridley stated that solid police work and inter-agency cooperation provided the necessary leads to identify the parties responsible for the burglaries at Reno's Pharmacy, The Hideout Bar & Grill, the Law Office of Craig Crosswhite, and the attempted burglary of Old Timers' Liquor store.
Currently in custody in the Barton County Jail are James J. Pfeifer, age 62, of Olmitz and Lyndee M. Scott, age 36, of Great Bend. Pfeifer and Scott are suspects in burglaries in Hodgeman, Pawnee, Barton, Ellsworth, Russell, Rush and Stafford counties. Both face multiple charges in regards to these burglaries.
Besides the Hodgeman County Sheriff's Office agencies participating in the search warrants were the Barton County Sheriff's Office, Pawnee County Sheriff's Office, Great Bend Police Department and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
