Hodgeman County Sheriff Ron Ridley reports that five area juveniles have been charged with 35 criminal counts in Hodgeman County District Court in regard to a series of offenses which occurred in June and July in the city of Hanston.
The 5 male juveniles ranging in age from 13 to 16 have been charged with a variety of crimes; including: Criminal Damage to Property, Criminal Trespass, Theft, and Burglary. Sheriff Ridley credits leads from the public and diligent police work with breaking the cases. “We had good cooperation from the citizens in providing leads about who might be involved. Deputy John Whistler and Deputy Jeff Channell did a terrific job of following their leads and doing a thorough investigation which lead to these individuals being charged. “Stated Sheriff Ridley. “Some of these crimes had gone undiscovered by the victims until suspect interviews identified the locations. We encourage anyone in Hanston who might have suffered a loss in late June or early July and has not reported it to the Sheriff’s Office to please contact the office so it can be investigated.”
The identity of the suspects is being kept confidential due to their status as a juvenile.
