BIOGRAPHY

Sheriff Ron Ridley was appointed as Sheriff of Hodgeman
County on June 12th, 2006 by Kansas Governor Kathleen
Sebelius.
On November 4, 2008, he was elected as Sheriff
and will serve until January 2013.


Sheriff Ridley began his law enforcement career in Iowa in
1977 while still attending college at what is now William Penn
University in Oskaloosa.  He graduated from Penn in 1978
with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Public
Sefvice/Law Enforcement.  He moved to Kansas in 1987
after attending Central Missouri State University at
Warrenburg where he earned a Master of Science in
Criminal Justice Administration.
 He recently completed the
Certified Public Manager's Program through the Public
Management Center of the University of Kansas in
December of 2008, and is now a nationally certified public
manager.


Sheriff Ridley has worked for both municipal police
departments and sheriff's offices during his lengthy career
and is committed to the concept of community policing.
